Day 246

Reading for today
Old Testament: Isaiah 57, 58, 59
New Testament: Revelation 8

Thoughts from today’s reading
Isaiah 57:17-19. God see’s our hearts and He knows our ways, all the iniquity of mankind is laid bare before Him that is why in His mercy he has sent a saviour to heal us of our ways and to bring us to a place of peace with God. Romans 5:1 says, we now have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:13-18 says that when we were far from God, Christ brought us near through His blood and made us at peace with God.

Revelation 8:3-5. We see the prayers of the saints being offered up with incense. Worship to God is represented by incense in the scriptures, so this means that it is not enough to pray and petition God, and for our prayers to become really effective, potent and powerful in manifestation on the earth, we must worship God for who He is.

Prayer
1. Lord, I thank you that you have healed us of the ways of a backsliding heart and through Jesus Christ, we that were so far away from you in our thinking and lifestyles have been brought near to you through the blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you for great peace that you have poured over every aspect of our lives, so that nothing shall be missing, and nothing shall be broken in our lives.
2. Father, we vow to worship you in all situations we find ourselves, for you are worthy of all glory, honour and praise. May we always acknowledge you for who you are and grasp the greatness of our God before we bring our requests to you. Your word instructs us to come into your presence with thanksgiving and also to let our requests be made know to you with thanksgiving. As we worship and pray, as we praise and petition, and as we offer up thanksgiving, may our prayers become effective to shake the heavens and the earth, and manifest that which we have desired from the Lord.
