Day 75

Reading for today
Old Testament: Judges 12, 13, 14
New Testament: John 7

Thoughts from today’s reading
Judges 13. Manoah’s wife had a revelation from the angel of God that she would have a child and that he should live the life of a Nazarene. Manoah also prayed to the Lord that he would hear the same thing that his wife had heard. His prayers were answered and the angel also appeared to him with the same message.
Faith in God is a very individual thing and as much as his wife had the revelation, he also wanted the same revelation because one can chase a thousand and two can chase ten thousand. Married couples should take a cue from Manoah and his wife and ensure that they both receive the word of the Lord for their family.

John 7:37-39. Jesus said whoever believes in Him would have rivers of living water flowing out of their heart.
What we receive from the Lord is a great unending flow of life in us. It keeps flowing and that is one of the reasons it is called everlasting life.

Prayer
1. Lord, you said a husband should honour his wife so that their prayers would not be hindered. You have shown us the power of agreement in the place of faith and prayer. May we be wise to stay in the place of agreement with our spouses or any other covenant partner in our lives so that your power manifests to bring the answers to our prayers.
2. Thank you Father for the rivers of life that you have put in us through the power of the Holy Spirit. We declare we have life that overcomes death, hope that overcomes despair, courage that overcomes fear, joy that overcomes mourning and love that overcomes hate. Your life in us like rivers of water flows into every dry place in our lives and the lives of those around us to bring an abundance of your supply to us. Thank you Lord for everlasting life in Jesus name.
