Day 112

Reading for today
Old Testament: 2 Kings 21, 22, 23
New Testament: Acts 23

Thoughts from today’s reading
2 Kings 23:16-18. As king Josiah carried out a cleansing in the land based on the conviction he had received from hearing God’s words in the book of the law that was found in the temple, he discovered the tomb of the man of God who prophesied against the altar at Bethel. He was then told that all he was doing was actually prophesied by that man of God.
When we act on the word of God, we are fulfilling what has been written concerning us in the book of life.

Acts 23:11-22. The Lord appeared to Paul and told him that he would be going to Rome to testify about Christ. The next day, the Jews were planning to kill Paul, but their plan leaked and was reported to the commander who then made plans for Paul to be relocated to Caesarea.
God will always reveal His plan for us ahead of whatever the enemy plans against us.

Prayer
1. Heavenly Father, as I act on the conviction I have received from reading and hearing your word, may I be bold enough to act on your word and do the things written about me from the foundations of the world in Jesus’ name, amen.
2. Thank you Lord Jesus that you reveal to me in the night your future for me that overrides whatever evil the enemy plans for me in the day light. May every evil plot be leaked and may those who have thought evil be entangled in their own traps in Jesus name.
