Day 165

Reading for today
Old Testament: Psalm 15, 16, 17
New Testament: Galatians 3

Thoughts from today’s reading
Psalm 15. The character of one who will abide in God’s presence is revealed. Through Christ, our hearts are changed and we are given righteousness. We must however continue to follow the truth which makes us free, and we must extend this freedom to others in how we think about them and treat them. This will guarantee a tangible presence of God in our lives.

Galatians 3:10-14. Christ has freed us from working to be good enough to receive from God. By faith in Him we are good enough in God’s sight and are freed from the curse of the law and entitled to the blessing of Abraham and the promise of the Spirit of God.

Prayer
1. Thank you Lord Jesus for giving us your righteousness so we can abide in the presence of the Father. You said we should abide in your word and then you and the Father will abide in us. We take your word today and keep it in the midst of our hearts so that we might know it and do it, for this is pleasing in your sight.
2. Thank you Lord for setting me free from every curse of the law through Christ Jesus. I declare today that my life has been set up for the blessing of God in all that concerns me. My mind is blessed, my family is blessed, my ministry is blessed, my career is blessed, my businesses are blessed, whatever I put my hands to do is blessed. I give you praise for this in Jesus’ name, amen.
