Day 214

Reading for today
Old Testament: Proverbs 12, 13, 14
New Testament: Hebrews 10

Thoughts from today’s reading
Proverbs 13:2-3. The bible has much to say about how we use our mouth, tongue and words. Words are powerful and they have very noticeable effects on our lives. If we want to see good and all that God has reserved for us, we must keep our tongue from speaking evil (1 Peter 3:10).

Hebrews 10:19-22. Christ has made a way for us to access the throne of God. We must come boldly as regularly as we can to appear in Gods presence to receive of His strength, wisdom, mercy, grace and abundance of all good things to live a life that pleases Him. The one thing that would keep us apart from God is sin, and Jesus has made the provision to cleanse us from sin if we will come to Him. When in doubt of our right standing, we must never run away from God, but run boldly to Him and He will sort us out.

Prayer
1. Heavenly Father, set a watch over my mouth so that I am aware of the words that I am speaking. Wherever I have been speaking unproductive words or negative words, I ask mercy and cleansing from all such words. I release words of life to counteract every word of death spoken. Thank you Lord for delivering me from every evil word in Jesus’ name, amen.
2. Father, I come boldly to your throne to obtain mercy and grace to help me in my hour of need. Lord I come in spite of the short comings I see in my life because Jesus has made provision to cleanse me and help me where I am weak. Thank you that as I receive strength from you, I can be a source of strength to others also thus expanding your kingdom and glory on earth. I give you every praise for the great way you have made for me to come to you.
