Reading for today
Old Testament: Isaiah 63, 64, 65
New Testament: Revelation 10
Thoughts from today’s reading
Isaiah 65:23-24. Oh what a glorious promise that God has given us, that we will not bear children for trouble, but they will be blessed of the Lord, for children are an inheritance from the Lord and His blessing does not add any sorrow to our lives. Also, when we call to God, He will answer us and even hear our prayer before we call.
Revelation 10:5-6. The angel made contact with the heavens, the earth and the sea as he stood on the land and sea with his hand raised to heaven. He then declared that there would be no more delay for what God has spoken to come to pass. May the angel of God speak into your situation and dismantle every delay to Gods promises coming to pass in your life.
Prayer
1. Father, we come before your throne today to thank you that you are a God who answers our prayers while we are still requesting them and you hear us even before we call. Your word and promises to us are true, therefore we say concerning our children that they are blessed of the Lord. Thank you that every labour we have made over their lives is not in vain and it will yield great returns for them and for their children’s children. Thank you that we will not reap trouble or pain from them, but we will experience the joy of an inheritance which only God can give.
2. Lord, you sent your angel to confirm that your promises and your will for the earth will not be delayed. We thank you that you are not a man who is capable of lies, but you are the God who speaks a thing and it comes to pass. For every promise you have spoken over our lives, we thank you that they come to pass without delay. Thank you for sending your angels to work on our case and to clear the pathway for your blessings to flow into our lives.
