Reading for today
Old Testament: Isaiah 66, Jeremiah 1, 2
New Testament: Revelation 11
Thoughts from today’s reading
Jeremiah 1:5-10. Before we were formed in the womb, God knew us and determined our purpose in life and empowered us to do it. When we walk in Gods purpose, He will empower us to speak to all men, high and low, young and old, rich and poor, and they will listen. We will be equipped to overthrow systems, in the area of our calling, that are not working according to God’s plan.
Revelation 11:15. The kingdoms of this world and all nations belong to God and Christ even though they do not acknowledge Him. The time will come when He will reclaim what belongs to Him as Jesus described in the parable of the vineyard that was leased out by the master to men who eventually refused to give him any of the fruit of the vineyard (Matthew 21:33-41).
Prayer
1. Lord I give you thanks for your purpose for my life, I am grateful for your empowerment to be effective in the area you have called me to do my life’s work. I shall not fear as I progress and speak to men and change systems to line up with your will. I pray for my children, those that are here today and those yet to be born, that they will understand their purpose and walk in it to the glory of your name. Thank you that you will fill them with boldness to express the glory of God in their life and generation.
2. Father I worship you for you are the creator of the heavens and the earth. You gave man dominion over the earth to display your glory as it is in heaven. When man fell and began to carry out the work of the devil instead, you made a way to restore us back to your original intent by sending us a saviour, Jesus Christ. Thank you that through Christ, the earth will fully be restored back to you, and I thank you that Christ working in me enables me to do my part to present the areas I have dominion in this world back to you.
