Ezekiel 3:16-21. The Lord has given us a responsibility to be like a watchman, both to the wicked and to the righteous. We are to be alert and diligent in sharing the word that God reveals to us to Christians and to unbelievers alike. If we do not do our part in giving the warning that God has sent to them, then He holds us responsible for whatever evil comes upon them.
Prayer
1. Father, may we be diligent to stand in the place of a watchman as we pray and hear you speak to us. May we be bold to declare your word of warning to those you have sent us to. Fill us with strength and compassion to take this gospel of peace and declare it near and far, to the Christian and the unbeliever alike. Lord, it is not your will that anyone should perish, and you desire that they all come to know the truth, so may your Holy Spirit work through the word you have given us and our obedience to declare it, and cause their erring hearts to realise the error of their ways and turn back to God. This we pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
