Day 271

Reading for today
Old Testament: Ezekiel 19, 20, 21, 22

Thoughts from today’s reading
Ezekiel 22:28-31. We are Gods building and He desires to dwell in buildings that are built up as they should be. The purpose of the prophecies given by the prophets was to strengthen the wall of the building, but when they prophesied falsely, they were trying to build with material that would not have any impact on the building. When there is a breach in the building, it is the work of intercessors to stand in the gaps and call for the master builder to repair and restore what has been broken down.

Prayer
1. Heavenly Father, you have given us the responsibility of intercession for our world, nations, communities and all men. We lift up our voice and cry out to you Father that you will have mercy, we ask that you repair and restore broken lives, broken communities and broken nations. Lord you have revealed that the prophesies you sent through your prophets is what builds up lives, so we ask that you put words in our hearts that we may speak to build up the lives around us. We ask that you send out prophets, labourers, preachers into your harvest, that with your power they reap the souls of men and present them to God. Thank you for using us as vessels of your mercy and power in Jesus’ name, amen.
