Day 29

Reading for today

Old Testament: Exodus 35, 36, 37
New Testament: Mark 1

Thoughts from today’s reading
Exodus 35:30-35. God put wisdom in the hearts of Bezalel and Aholiab to carry out the work for the tabernacle. There was a whole team of artisans who were chosen to work with them. God also gave these two lead men the wisdom to be able to teach the skills He had placed in them.
Whatever gift God gives to one is for the benefit of all, we see this principle in 1 Corinthians 12 where it says that the gifts of God are for the profit of all.

Mark 1:35-39. Jesus was not carried away with the results of his ministry and the demand for his ministry. He was more focussed on His purpose and completing the assignment He was given.
In all that we do, it must be done to the glory of God. We must not be sucked in by what appears to be success to man.

Prayers
1. Heavenly Father, we pray that the gifts you have place in each one of us will be used for the benefit of all of us. Let the gifts in our various churches and groups come alive and touch every life in Jesus name.
2. Lord you are the giver of wisdom and the ability to teach that wisdom, we ask now that you put wisdom in the heart of the medical professionals working to get a treatment for the coronavirus. Let it come by the revelation of God, for it is not your will that any man should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth. May lives be preserved by your mercy so that people are given the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
3. Heavenly Father may I always do all things to the glory of your name and may my greatest aspiration be to hear you say “well done good and faithful child” when I finish my race on earth.
