Reading for today
Old Testament: Zechariah 6, 7, 8, 9
Thoughts from today’s reading
Zechariah 9:9-13. The prophet see’s the Messiah riding on a donkey and coming with power to save the people. We are saved because of the blood of His covenant, the blood that He poured out for us to deliver us from sin and the judgement of sin, which is condemnation to the pit where there is no water (hell). We are also assured that our hope for everything we have lost or desire, shall be manifested to us in double measures.
Prayer
1. Lord, we thank you for promising a saviour and giving us indications years before He came of the things that he would do. We thank you much more, that when He came, He accomplished all that was written of Him. With this confidence we can boldly say that our hope is being turned into tangible manifestations of a good life, a blessed future, total health, peace, progress and most importantly salvation for our soul. Whatever the enemy had stolen from us, you said you would restore double, you also said if the thief is caught, he shall restore 7 times what was stolen, even up to all that is in his house (Proverbs 6:30-31). Today, we declare restoration in every area of our lives. Restoration of health, peace, joy, progress, prosperity, purpose, fulfilment, and every blessing promised. We believe and we receive double for all of our troubles just as you have promised us. Thank you father for this in Jesus’ name, amen.
