Day 31

Reading for today

Old Testament: Leviticus 1, 2, 3
New Testament: Mark 3

Thoughts from today’s reading Leviticus 1. This is the beginning of new instructions that God had for Moses. The tabernacle was complete and now God starts giving details about the sacrifices and worship to be carried out in the tabernacle.
The nature of spiritual things is that they come line upon line, precept upon precept. We will not get new instructions until we have obeyed and performed previous ones.

Mark 3:13-15. Jesus called those He wanted and when they came He appointed some to be with Him and He would later send them to do the work He did.
Our first call is to be with Christ, to fellowship with Him, hear His word and be filled with His presence. It is from that place that we can go out and preach His kingdom with the manifestation of His power.

Prayer
1. Father I pray that your Spirit will bring to my remembrance any instruction you have given me that I have not fully obeyed. I submit and yield my will to yours to do what you have told me to in Jesus name.
2. Thank you Lord Jesus because you chose me and called me to be with you and in you. I pray that all the work that I do for you will always be preceded by my time in your presence so that I serve you in spirit and truth and not according to the flesh or my own mind.
