Day 39

Reading for today

Old Testament: Leviticus 25, 26, 27
New Testament: Mark 11

Thoughts from today’s reading
Leviticus 26:3-13. The Lord begins to reveal the blessings for walking in obedience to His commands. A blessing that stands out is the one where the threshing will last till the vintage and the vintage will last till the sowing. Basically one season of supply will last you till the next season of supply, you will not run out or get stuck before your help comes.
If such precious promises were available to Gods people under the old covenant, then how much more will He not bless us under this new covenant in Christ.

Mark 11:15-18. We see here that the gentle and meek Jesus we are used to changes his temperament to deal with the issue of people selling in the temple. His actions were based on what was written in the scriptures that the courts of the temple were for the nations that visited Jerusalem to pray, but the religious rulers had allowed the Jews to sell animals for sacrifice where the people should have been praying.
Reading the scripture helps us to put things in proper order, but beware for when you start to do so, those who are comfortable with the status quo will try to kill you (figuratively or literally).

Prayer
1. Heavenly Father, I thank you that you have blessed me with all of these blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I believe and declare that I am blessed and all my needs you supply. Thank you that each month I have enough to take care of my needs and be a blessing to others, and at those times of the month when my supply seems low, you open up to me opportunities to put more into my hands to see me through.
2. Lord, I pray for the boldness to place things in order in my life and all around me when I see the truth of your word that dictates what the order should be. Let me not be moved by the countenance of men who perpetrate the wrong thing, but that speaking the truth in love and taking divine action I will establish your will in my surroundings.
