Reading for today
Old Testament: Numbers 13, 14 ,15
New Testament: Mark 16
Thoughts from today’s reading
Numbers 14. Again in this chapter, we see the children of Israel rejecting the many miraculous things God had done for them and being caught up in what they perceived to be their present problems. This complaint made them lose out on the promise land becoming a reality in their generation.
Mark 16:1-8. The women went to the tomb of Jesus not knowing how they were going to move the stone away, but they did not let that limitation stop them from still going to seek the body of Jesus.
There will always be conditions that we cannot move in our quest to be with the Lord, it is not our responsibility to move them, it is our responsibility to seek, and the Lord will take care of the rest.
Prayer
1. Lord I thank you for all the miracles you have shown me, the greatest being the salvation of my soul through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that brought me out of the kingdom of darkness and translated me into the kingdom of light.
I declare that through Christ I can do all things, I am all that God says I am, I have all that He says I can have, I bring good news that delivers many to righteousness.
Thank you Father for making me a blessing to my generation.
2. Lord I ask and you make me receive, I seek and you make me find, I knock and you open the door. I take the responsibility to keep seeking you and I trust you to remove whatever stands in my way. Thank you that not even death was able to separate me from your love. Hallelujah!
